Q.Who can take ALEVE®?

A.

ALEVE® should not be given to children under the age of 12, except under the advice and
supervision of a doctor. As stated on the label, patients over 65 should not take more than one
caplet every 12 hours.

Do not take ALEVE® if you:

  • are allergic to naproxen, naproxen sodium, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), other salicylates,
    other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • are allergic to any other non-medicinal ingredients in ALEVE®
  • have an active peptic ulcer or a history of recurrent ulceration
  • have active gastrointestinal bleeding
  • have inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease (active or severe),
    kidney disease (active or worsening)
  • are in your third trimester of pregnancy
