Can anyone take ALEVE®?
ALEVE® should not be given to children under the age of 12, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor. As stated on the label, patients over 65 should not take more than one caplet every 12 hours.
Do not take ALEVE® if you are allergic to naproxen, naproxen sodium, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), other salicylates, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), any other non-medicinal ingredients in ALEVE®, or if you have an active peptic ulcer, a history of recurrent ulceration, active gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease (active or severe), kidney disease (active or worsening) or if you are in your third trimester of pregnancy.
